Areas of Expertise
As a trauma counsellor, I can support you in addressing feelings of shame, guilt, sadness, anger, or fear. Together, we will address your current challenges, get curious about deeper emotions, beliefs and disruptive patterns, experiment with new coping resources, and increase your sense of connection to yourself and your loved ones. My clients typically come to me with some of the following challenges:
About Me
I am a graduate counsellor and an EMDR psychotherapist, with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, offering secure online sessions to clients throughout British Columbia and select provinces across Canada.
My approach to counselling is gently challenging, sprinkled with humor, and person-centered. Together, we will explore who you are where you come from, how your personal experiences, identity, societal expectations, and values might have shaped you. This includes how experiencs of previous trauma and hurt might show up in your thoughts, feelings, and body.
I want clients to feel safe being open. I want you to have the freedom to talk through tough and emotional situations without feeling judged. I’m here to help you find strength, humour, and resilience, even when things feel unclear. And at the very least, we’ll have a meaningful conversation, and you might walk away seeing things a little differently.
I’ve been told I’m easy to talk to, and I promise to make our first conversation feel calm, open, and comforting.
